My girls love painting too. And it is messy. We do it at least twice a week. I try to make them use q-tips as brushes. That way I can throw them out. They would want to clean the brush between every color and it just got ridiculous. Now I give them a handful of q-tips and they can keep their colors separate. They still spread paint all over their hands to make handprints.
I really want to make a "foot book" with them during spring break and make a bunch of foot prints, kind of like Dr. Suess' book. I may have to do that on the deck.
yes the huge painting mess :) my girls say all good artist are messy I think they must me right.
